Photography runs deep

Updated: Sep 22, 2018

I grew up in front of the camera. My father seemed to always have a camera in his hands. Every little thing that captured his eye, out came the camera. So naturally, I have had an interest in photography since I was very young. There is no telling how many hours I have spent in darkrooms, watching my dad develop photos. My Mother says I have my father's "eye". The day she told me that made my heart soar! My Dad was my world!
He left a wonderful legacy for me!

I wish I could tell you that I remember my first camera, but I don't. I can tell you that I can't remember a time that I didn't have one. Just like in this photo of my Father, I own several different cameras. I use each one to capture life. I believe that great photography starts from the artistic mind.
Being a great photographer takes art, skill, intellect and equipment.

I have been taking photographs since I was about 6 years old, so over 35 years. I have had the pleasure of helping a young model become more recognized, take family photos that people treasure for years, announce births and genders of babies and much more. It is truly a pleasure to capture life and love.

My children are also growing up in front of the camera. One of my sons is interested in photography. So maybe the legacy will carry on. Photography runs deep in my blood. It is a constant thought for me; "I gotta get my camera!". I make it a point to not only capture life, but keep it clean and unadulterated.
